We were recently approached by an Australian AC management equipment supplier with a complex request. They were designing a new manifold system that needed to embed multiple ball valves to control refrigerant flow precisely. They didn't just need a "standard part"—they needed a partner to solve a puzzle.
The challenge: A brass-bodied, stainless steel ball valve that could:
Withstand pressures up to 60 Bar without leaking
Operate reliably between -20°C and 100°C
Deliver a long, leak-free lifespan in a motor-driven on/off control loop
And here’s the kicker: they wanted the first unit for design verification. This wasn’t about mass production—it was about getting the engineering right from the start.
Our Approach: More Than Just a Manufacturer

The customer handed over drawings and specifications for the valve body and end blocks, but they needed our professional technical input on the most critical parts of the valve: the ball and seat sealing assembly.We carried out a full technical review and put forward a practical solution that balances stable working performance and flexible structural modification:
1. Adopt our mature standard spare parts: We suggested using our in-stock validated standard balls and valve seat seals.The customer only needs to slightly tweak the size of their valve housing to fit our parts.This method greatly cuts production lead time and makes full use of our sealing solutions that have been verified in real working conditions.
2. Select matched materials to guarantee long service life: This valve works with refrigerants and bears large temperature fluctuations, so material choice cannot be casual.We settle on stainless steel for the ball core, paired with premium sealing material that works well with refrigerants and fits the required temperature range. It can keep stable structure and zero leakage during long-running operation.
3. High-precision machining to achieve perfect sealing: This motor-operated ball valve needs to seal tightly steadily under 50~60 bar working pressure, which calls for ultra-precise machining standards.We strictly calibrate the entire machining procedures for valve bodies, balls and end blocks, enforcing tight dimensional tolerances at sealing mating surfaces to achieve dependable seat sealing and eliminate internal bypass leakage and slight weepage.
Project Outcome: Establish long-term cooperation for the next development phase
We are currently manufacturing the prototype sample for our Australian client. Once all performance tests pass verification, this ball valve will be integrated into the client’s sophisticated assembled manifold valve system.
