The body and bonnet are constructed from grade 304 stainless steel, while the stem is upgraded to SS316 for superior corrosion resistance – a critical feature for coastal, marine, mining, and heavy-industrial environments. The valve is finished in standard signal red and performs reliably across all Australian states and territories, including offshore rigs, power substations, and remote mine sites.
The inlet side offers an 80mm roll-groove (RG) connection that fits standard grooved fire piping, with an internal 65mm BSP female thread machined inside. This dual-design gives installers two practical on-site options, making retrofitting into existing threaded pipework straightforward. The outlet features a 65mm QRT thread, allowing fire crews to connect hoses quickly without the need for tools during emergencies.
Every unit undergoes full in-house factory testing, including hydrostatic pressure testing and endurance cycling of over 10,000 open-close operations. The valve is rated at a working pressure of 1,400 kPa and a test pressure of 2,700 kPa, with an operating temperature range of -10°C to 85°C – sufficient for virtually all outdoor and industrial applications across Australia. NBR rubber seals and a UV-stabilised dust cap are fitted as standard, and the handwheel is made of durable HT200 cast iron.
